Community Guidelines · Version 1.0 · Prepared 10 September 2026 · Effective 1 September 2026. Oncology Mitra is operated by ZTS Global Ventures Private Limited (CIN U62090UP2026PTC247240 · GSTIN 09AADCZ0004D1ZU), E-1190, E Block, Rajajipuram, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226017.
1. Who the community is for
The OM Community is a moderated space for patients, survivors and caregivers to share experience, encouragement and practical knowledge. It is for adults aged 18 or above. Caregivers have their own area, because their questions and strain differ from the patient's. Participation is optional and you may take part anonymously.
2. What makes it work
- Be kind. Everyone here is carrying something. Assume good faith and be gentle with people on bad days.
- Share experience, not instructions. “This helped me with nausea” is welcome. “You should stop your chemo” is not.
- Protect your privacy. Posts can be seen by other members and may be copied. Avoid posting your reports, diagnosis details or anything you would not want outside the community.
- Protect other people's privacy too. Do not post another person's information, photographs or story without their permission — including family members and clinicians.
- Respect difference. People make different treatment, faith and lifestyle choices. Disagree without judgement.
3. What is not allowed
- Medical misinformation and unproven cure claims — including promotion of any remedy, diet or protocol as treating or curing cancer.
- Encouraging anyone to stop, delay or change prescribed medical treatment.
- Selling or promoting products, services, practitioners or clinics, or soliciting members privately.
- Harassment, abuse, discrimination or exploitation of any member.
- Impersonation, or misrepresenting your identity, qualifications or experience.
- Recording, screenshotting or redistributing other members' contributions without their permission.
- Graphic content shared without a clear warning, or anything unlawful.
4. Shared experience is not medical advice
What members share is valuable context. It is not medical advice, and it does not replace your treating team. Treatment decisions belong with your oncologist. If something you read worries you, take it to your doctor rather than acting on it.
5. Not an emergency channel
Oncology Mitra is not an emergency service. In immediate danger in India, call 112 or seek emergency care. Posts are not continuously monitored. If you are worried about another member's safety, use the report function so a moderator sees it quickly.
6. How moderation works
Trained moderators review reported content and may remove posts, add warnings, or restrict a member proportionately. We remove content that breaches these Guidelines without implying any finding about the person who posted it. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to suspension from the community. Where lawful and safe, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to respond. You can report any post using the report option, or write to support@oncologymitra.com.
7. Your content
You own what you write. By posting, you allow us to display it within the community to other members for as long as it remains posted. We never use community content for advertising, testimonials or AI training without your separate, specific consent. You can delete your own posts at any time; copies other members have already made are outside our control.
8. Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, you may raise it through our Grievance Redressal process.
